R50/53 225/50/15 tires on r53 with stock suspension?
225/50/15 tires on r53 with stock suspension?
I am.currently looking at a set of 15 inch wheels for my 2004 r53 it has the jcw package but not the sport brake kit I don't think...they weren't red until.I painted them and they have metal pins that span the caliper that I do not see on jcw/ r56 brakes. Anyway I also run the stock suspension. The wheels i want to put on are konig rollers 15x7.5 et32 and I want to put 225 50 15 tires I like the beefy look. I have done various wheel calculator searches and they say that this setup will sick out an inch more than my stock r90s 17x7 et48.. does anyone have any expierience with this setup? or opinions on whether it would rub the fender or not would be appreciated
Thanks
Thanks
I have 225/50R16s on a 16x7 wheel with 42mm offset & modified JCW/FSD suspension that's about 1" lower than stock. I had to carve my rear bumper, wheel well liner, and move my rear tires forward 5/16" to eliminate rubbing in the rear (no problems in the front).
a 32mm offset on a 7.5" rim will make the tires stick out far enough to rub everytime you go over a bump assuming you wlll be running 2 degrees or less camber.

You think it will rub even with the stock suspension? I was hoping to hear it wouldn't lol I think I may still go for it my stock 17x7s with 205 45 17s. Have about a 2.5 inch gap from the tire to the fender and the 225 50 15s on 7.5 say they will stick out an inch and be slightly smaller in.diameter so I don't think i should have to do too much trimming with the stock suspension do you?

When you say "move my rear tires forward 5/16," how do you do that? What do I need in order to do the same thing?
