Replacing belt tensioner - why do I have to jack the motor?

As Im working on replacing the harmonic balancer, Im wondering if I want to do the tensioner assembly also. I saw the directions that describe unbolting motor and trans mounts (among other disconnects) to be able to remove the assembly.

Am I missing something here because it sure looks like I can remove the 3 bolts that hold the tensioner assembly and do the swap without doing all the motor/trans mount discos and lifting the motor to get at it.

Car is a 2003, R50, CVT, Any thought here?

It is to gain some more clearance, I think one of the bolts is too long to come out otherwise.
