JCW Air intake question: Install
Air intake question: Install
Okay, so I want to get an aftermarket air intake, but I've got the JCW strut bar there. Is that going to get in the way to the point of me having to take it off to get say a NM kit to mount it?
I don't have a garage or a lot of parts since I'm on an Army base so I've got to make due with a few screw drivers and crap like that.

I will tell you from experience, it is much easier to install the NM kit if you remove the strut bar. Just reinstall the strut bat after you install the intake.
My NM Hi-Flow induction kit with JCW bar

and now with the NM tie bar

With new oil catch can installed

If you go on NM's website, the installation instructions tell you what tools you will need to install the intake kit.

The JCW strut bat will come off with an 18mm wrench and a 7mm hex key wrench.
