I just purchased OEM roof racks for my 2012 MC. Instruction states to cut the rubber at the marked points. I found the cut marks.

My question is: Once the rain guard cut and roof racks are installed, will I have any water issues? to me it looks like there will be a gap and water will get in.

Does anyone have up-close pictures of installed roof racks at contact points with the car.

No issues with leaks but, you should not need to cut there should already be spots where the rack goes.
