Is there trick to removing the knee panel?

Puzzled. Any tricks involved?

The only way to open it is to pull it until you think you are about to break it, then pull a little harder. It may come off its hinges, but it can be reset.

Mine is also extremely hard to open. I always end up with a bruised thumb whenever I do :(

Try raising the steering wheel all the way up. I find the easiest part to unhinge is on the right side, by sticking my left hand behind the right side through the steering opening, and grabbing the far right side of the panel with my right hand, and then pulling down VERY hard with both, I have been able to open it whenever I want. DO NOT grab the thin flange around the edge of the steering opening as this will probably crack the panel.

As other have said just very hard to remove. You will think it is going to break before it pops off.

I will try this. I was stopping when I think it was going to break.

I suppose I do this one side at a time? Both sides are difficult to undo?

Thanks
