OK, we have talked about planning and have a team formed working hard.

This is the place for all of you MINI folks to discuss Yalla Yalla, the ones you have run in the past, what you enjoyed, what you could expect from this years Yalla.

Remember to sign up on the calendar, we need a count so we can do it up right for you.

Thanks Ms. D. That link does make it easier to sign-up.

More people should sign-up.

Any questions?

Any ideas on how to dress up your MINI in classic 60s style for Yalla Yalla.

I can do the clothing, but I need some insight from folks. Of course I can't get any prizes, but you could!

Post em or just decorate your MINI in style.

I picked up my costume today, hope I'm not the only one dressing up.

It's a 60s look anyway, I'll have the right hair-do going.

Thinking on costumes, did you find a costume store in Denver to get some items?

That last picture posted by Teena got me thinking. Back to my drawing board!

This should be fun!

I went to Theatrical Costumes Etc. in the Table Mesa shopping Center on South Broadway in Boulder, They have Eveything.

I first stopped in at the pop-up seasonal Halloween shop at Twin Peaks Mall in Longmont. They had a good supply of "Hippy Wear" but I also wanted to check out Boulder store and I ended up going with them.

YALLA YALLA is an annual MINI 5280 Fall Event/Ride to celebrate the founding of MINI 5280 back in 2002.

It is usually a scavenger hunt or includes a scavenger hunt and the instructions/driving directions are in riddles and clues along the way.

You receive the driving directions/ride quiz at the beginning and find your way along the route ending up at a secret location where we have a party.

It is a good idea to bring along a co-pilot to help with the directions and this year we ask that you bring a digital camera.

I hope that helps without being too revealing.

Cheers,

Robert

P.S. I hope nothing comes up and you can attend because I think you will have loads of fun.
Also this is a pre-Halloween event and we're all dressing up, the theme is 1960's back to the roots of Mini.

Who's jealous????..................I'm jealous!!

Robert, all I can say is Thank You for the Great Yalla Yalla route, I'm very jealous that I'll be helping with the event instead of Yalla Yalling.

I think this is going to be one of the Best Yalla Yalla's EVER!!

Hope to see everyone there

Thanks Jamie that really means a lot to me.

Folks did you read the previous post?

That is a huge endorsement, this years YALLA YALLA has been approved by "lil'valentino".

If you have only been in this club for a little while you know the answer to this question.

Who comes up with the fun rides we do on the weekends and at the big summer event?

lil'valentino

So come Sunday morning don't be jealous when you wake up and think,
"I just missed YALLA YALLA, quite possibly the funnest YALLA YALLA the club has ever had".

Right now there are 20 people signed up and 7 are volunteers, so that makes 13 contestants/participants.

(The following lines of text have been truth tested and are made up by the author)

You know when you bought your MINI how you filled out all that paperwork with all your personal information, well MINI has been helping us plan this event and we know you don't have anything going on this Saturday, so sign up so we know how many MINI'acs to expect.

To give you proof MINI is helping us, MINI knows everything about us.
They know how much you drive your MINI, what RPMs you shift at, your favorite radio station, it's all stored in the key-fob and we are starting this years YALLA YALLA at a MINI dealership.

That is proof enough, so don't miss this.

Link to sign up

We won't be able to make it today :(. I'm not feeling well. If you are left with extra stuff let me know and I'll send you the event fee.

Have a great time! Post some photos!

Thanks, Franny

It was fun, wet but fun, did I say wet. The sun came out in time for the end of day picture.

Lots of fancy costumes 60s style, nicely dressed MINIs. Good Food both at Schomp MINI and at the end-point which was the North Glenn Rec. Center.

Folks got some city twisties and had some fun. Sorry to the folks who had a bump downtown, I sure wish that had not happened, but everyone is OK, MINI on the way to the SPA. Bummer! :(

Pictures I took can be seen on FB if your a friend or extended friend. Also here on my PICASA G+

Another awesome Yalla Yalla!

Thanks go out to Don and everyone who put together this year's event. It was well organized, and we were all VERY well fed. It was fun driving around downtown and seeing MINIs going every which direction. It looked like a scene from a movie!

Thanks also go out to Schomp MINI and our other sponsors for the cool prizes. Are MINI high tops waterproof?

Cheers!
Tom
