So I went to the Hunter's Auto Expo in Nashville a couple of weeks ago and noticed something very different yet familiar about a custom 1940 Ford. It was so customized it was hard for me to definitely tell what it was. On the front of this tangerine hot rod were the headlights from our style MINIs. When I noticed them a camera from ESPN was filming it, so I waited for the camera to finish filming and I asked the owner of the sweet coupe if those were in fact the MINI headlights. He said that they were and that I was the only person to ever notice. I was surprised to hear that! Anyway, I think I have noticed MINI headlights on one more cutom rod. Has anyone who frequents the car show circuit noticed this as well? Apparently the headlights work well with the big swooping fenders of the antiques. Sorry I don't have any pics, but you may be able to catch the coverage of the show on ESPN.

 

I've seen them on two different hotrods as well. There was a thread awhile back possibly of the same hotrod in question that you saw. The MINI fever is spreading.....in more ways than one.

I'm a bit of a hot rod addict, and attend a lot of shows. I haven't noticed any MINI lights but sure see a bunch of rods with late model Mercedes headlights on them. I'll have to be more observant and be sure I have my camera handy....................mgg

 

Mini headlights are the new fade, they are perfect for tunnel back :smile:

 

Sadly I did notice a riced out Civic with MINI tail lights mounted SIDEWAYS . I had to do a double take before I realized what I had just seen.
