non-NAV bluetooth contacts dont sync after a visit to dealership

Hi
I searched for a while on this forum but couldn't find anyone else with this problem.

I have a 2008 MCS with the normal bluetooth connection (non-NAV) and a Motorola Droid X2 phone that I pair with it. Everything related to bluetooth was working fine until I took my car in to a dealership for a CEL and timing chain replacement.

It's obvious that they did some sort of reset on part of the electronics as I had to re-program my auto-lock settings, 3-blink turn signal settings, etc. as well as re-pair my Motorola to the bluetooth.

Now it seems as though I can pair the phone but the contacts will no longer sync up correctly. They are all placed under the #'s in my A-Z.. so the phone number entries for my contacts are getting synced, but the contact names are not.
I have tried deleting and re-pairing the phone several times to see if I could get it to re-try the contact sync. No dice.

Anyone else have this problem? Or have any possible solutions? It's a great feature that I'd love to get back.

Thanks

After some fiddling, I figured it out- for anyone who may run into this.

First I changed my contacts on my phone to display differently (last name first instead of first name first- not sure if this is entirely necessary).

Then restarted my phone and re-paired it to the car. This time my phone asked me if I wanted to allow the car to access my contacts- it was not doing this previously. I selected "ok" and we are good to go. All contact entries are synced to the car and listed by last name.

You probably didn't need to change contact order in phone, just reboot it.
I've had similar issues with my Nav equipped MINI and Android phone. Rebooting phone has worked so far.
