For you new MINI owners...

Here's something that works very nicely to remove cosmoline and road tars from your vehicle. It will take off gummed labels too, so be careful not to get it on any sticker you want to keep! It comes in other citric fragrances and can be purchased at Wat-Mart, Lowes, etc.

 

Recently I purchased a returned BBQ grill from Home Depot and asked about removing some stains. The sales person pulled a citrus air freshener from his pocket and sprayed it on the stain. PRESTO! So it works on all sorts of stuff.

Have not tried it on my MINI yet. I'm sure you are removing any wax too, but that is easy to remedy.

 

I'm sure it is similar to Stoners Tarminator. Except tarminator is tested paint safe so just be careful when using non car specific products. I might give that a shot just to try it out. Thank you for the tip.
