Aftermarket Parts - Warranty

I would like some advice on if aftermarket parts will void my warranty.

I had someone back into the front of my MINI Clubman a few weeks ago. At first it looked very minor but once the auto-body shop removed the front bumper cover so that it could be repainted they discovered that both the radiator and condenser were damaged and needed replacing - to be safe.

The insurance company will only pay for "aftermarket" parts as the car is more than 2 years old and has more than 20K miles - this is in the MA insurance law according to Safety Insurance. My car has 29K miles and is an '09.

My question is two fold. Should I use only OEM parts and if not will my warranty be at risk?

Any advice is appreciated.

Please use the search button. This has been discussed before.

Short answer no. The aftermarket part has to be connect to the reason of the factory part failing. Example aftermarket intake, turbo craps, dealership can say the intake caused the turbo to fail. Another example rear sway bar, turbo fails, dealership has to replace the failed turbo as the sway bar had nothing to do with the failure.
