Go Pro Hero 2 (Tow hook mount) + MINI Cooper + Twisty
Go Pro Hero 2 (Tow hook mount) + MINI Cooper + Twisty
I'm sure this isn't the first Go Pro video taken from the tow hook mount, but after taking delivery of Craven Speed's Tow Hook mount two days ago, I couldn't wait to get out on one of my favorite back roads.
I like the vantage point and experimented with the different fields of view (FOV) since I wanted to find the perfect setting for parade laps at Lime Rock on Labor Day. This video is taken in 1080 30 - Narrow and will be the setting I use for runs, etc, probably Lime Rock, too. Any of the default settings (960 30) are so wide angle that you lose everything far away and even not so far away. 1080 30 - Medium is OK too and might work well if you want to see more sky/scenery.
This was shot with a skeleton back door and Wi-Fi bac pac with wrist remote inside the cabin. The first 1:30 and the last 1:30 are probably the best part of this road.
