Just ordered my MCS a couple days ago and wanted to ask the question of how much will the dealer want to get out of me for the extended maintenance and extended warranty plans?

Shop around many insurance companies, and credit unions offer extended warranties. You also have up till the last day of your factory warranty to buy an aftermarket warranty. Some will allow you to even do it after the factory warranty expires.

 

Be careful of the extra warranties. GAP might make sense, but shop it around. The way I see it, some of the premium I pay a for the MINI reputation is so I don't have to invest in extra warranty coverage. Otherwise I'd just buy a FIAT .
