Hey guys,

I have a 2012 MCS with 2,800 miles on it. I have now had the p0171 code pop up twice now (reading with my scangauge ii) it first came up about 2 wks after I installed a Forge intercooler, Sprint Booster, and K&N filter (around 1,800 miles). I retightend all the hoses and cleared the code. It's been off now for a month, then all the sudden tonight it comes back on. The car has no loss of power, it does have an ever so slight shutter at idle that can be felt though the brake peddle. Can you guys offer any insight??

Well, in the midst of your modifications, the ECU is now seeing a too lean fuel combustion by reading your pre-cat O2 sensor.
I would remove the air intake first, and drive around with the OEM airbox installed and see if the code returns.

Thanks. I do have the OEM airbox, just an K&N panel filter. But I will try to replace the factory filter and see if that helps. When it happened the first time I just thought I had it tightened up the hoses well enough and maybe I had a small air leak. After resetting the light, it has not yet come back on, but ive only put about 10 miles on it since.
