If you don't have the JCW Engine Tuning Kit, I would suggest K&N, else I would suggest j1 from UK (you can order this from MINI Mania).

 

Amsoil air filter has been very good to us.

 

DoS makes the best intake IMO, and starting Monday they're going to be offering drop-in filters for your stock instake as well. You can see details on their Facebook page

The filter on the factory JCW is the same as the stock airbox. We have the K&N filter that we use, and MINI can't avoid your warranty for using the K&N as the 2012 JCW stage one kit comes with a K&N filter in it.

 

I think that's the one that I tried... it doesnt fit the 12 JCW - round peg in square hole ...

Ended up putting it in my GF's 06 JCW

 

I have ordered to have a JCW Performance kit installed on my Hartop S 2013, brand new. How much HP or quicker will the car be? will the strut make a big difference?

 

Sorry man! I just checked out the 2011+ JCW Engine Tuning Kit on Way's website and seems like they changed the design inside the airbox to use a panel filter instead of a cone filter. Sorry for not being up to date! :(
