does anyone have any info o how the srm rest pad is connected?(the little foam one on the door) and do you ahve part numbers for this? L/R

Curious....what are you planning on doing with the door arm rests? They are very far away from my elbow and I have to lean way over to rest my elbow there, so I never use it.

the eBay pad looks like it is just clipping over the standard pad... anyone know who sells them normaly? that is not on ebay but a regular aftermarket part seller... also I wonder if they would impede the deployment of the air bag in the seat?

Its just a thought. but by talking to fellow mini owners and myself, taking the twisties and trackdays most of us push our leg/knee against the center pillar and was thinking of a way to pad it. I thought that if I use the pad from the arm rest it would keep the look stock. the arm rest tube is slightly shorted than the center though. I was going to see if I could order one and see how it would work/look.

I took a mouse pad wrist thingy and taped it there with double sided tape...it works really well :smile:

I like both of those Ideas, any pix available, I too am trying to figure out a pad system there as it is irritating to us big guys knee, just normal driving
