I just ordered my MC the 19th and have seen a few posts that say something about getting some $$ of the MSRP. Does this only count to people that bought off the floor and not ordered theirs the way they want it? Has anyone here that ordered got any $$ of MSRP or anything else that I should be looking/asking for??? Any and all help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for any input you can give me.

I just ordered last week. It will arrive in May. I managed to get $550 USD off the MSRP. But I live in Canada; supply/demand may be different where you are.

Don't worry, a few hundred dollars over the life of the car is minor.

Congratulation on purchase.

I saved $500 off MSRP via group purchase in the bay area from Classic Mini in Mentor, Ohio. See a thread search from poster "cminigo."

You know, StingerD is absolutely right - a few hundred dollars IS insignificent. It just took the edge off a little for me (see above). That and the local dealer for me, Mini Mountain View, charges $2,500 OVER MSRP and the wait was 4 months. When I read about the local group buy it saved me a lot of time and money, but again, that's in contrast to this local place. I could've gone across the bay to Pleasanton which sells at MSRP, but the wait was purportedly 6-12 months. Also my delivery "fee" is less and got some free stuff... this all makes my DMV registration in No Cal a little less each time too. In the end, a penny here or there is just that. Same with gas prices as far as I'm concerned.

About the only way you are going to pay less than MSRP is through the group buy with Classic Mini. Be thankful you are only paying MSRP, many have paid more.

Like H&J stated you can save a bunch by going to Ohio with a group buy. In the San Fran bay area, East Bay Mini's (in Pleasenton) wait when I picked up my S three weeks ago, was going on 12 months! I did get it at MSRP and [B}ONLY[/B] waited 10 months but I recieved exactly what I wanted. The only problem now is if you don't like the changes coming to next years models you better go out of state to get one because it will be only a couple of months from now that it will be too late.
