OK, maybe I am nuts, but when you find a mechanic that you trust and like, you really want to stick with them. Such is the case in my situation.

06 clutch worn
fan module worn and ready to fail.
various hoses needing replacement.
super charger serviced to ensure longevity
Other parts, know to fail inspected, cleaned and replaced if needed.

All of the above work was done to my car in 4 hours! Yep, only 4 hours to do an 11 hour job! These guys simply ROCK!

Guys, if you are in the New England area and have a car that needs work (especially a MINI), Greasy's Garage Worcester is the place to be. I drove 900 miles round trip to get my work done and it was worth every penny.

 

Good to know that there are mechanics out there that are so good that someone would drive all that way. HOWEVER, maybe members of your local area Mini club can give you names of someone a bit closer to home. If you broke down, the towing charge from MD or Worchester, MA wouldn't be covered by AAA.

 

The clutch was close but not totally failing, so it was safe. Can't imagine the look on the guys face if I asked him to toe it up. Lol

 

I go to Greasy's, glad I only have to drive 20 miles each way

I have been very happy with them so far.

 

I live right in Worcester 10 min across the city to get to his place. When my service / warranty runs out he will get all my work.
