does r56s fit with 18in wheels?

hey
Currently i got 16in factory oem wheels
im trying to change my wheels to 17in or 18in
Im wondering 18in wheels would fit with r56s without causing any problem.
Wheels im looking forward is breyton gtr-s, or other non oem 18in products.

Also what are the advatages and disadvantages from 17in and 18in?

18s will fit as long as the offset is not ridiculous. Advantages maybe filling out the wheel well beter and look better. Disadvantages are wieght, more expensive, heavier, and run the risk of bending them easier.

For R56 using stock suspension
Stock 16" wheel is 16x6.5" offset 48mm, backspace 5.6"
Stock 17" wheel is 17x7 offset 48mm, backspace 5.9"
Stock 18" wheel is 18x7 offset 52mm, backspace 6.1"

Aftermarket wheels

18x7" offset 40-45mm (sticks out 0.9-0.7" wider)
18x7.5" offset 38-45mm (sticks out 0.9-0.7" wider)
18x8" offset 38-42mm (sticks out 0.9-0.8" wider)

I run an 18x8 wheel (+45 offset) with a 215/35-18 tire and I have no issues. That is even with a 1.4" suspension drop.

I run 18x7 wheels with 215/40-18s with no issue. I don't know the offset off hand.
