i have a set of enkie EDR9 16x7's rims on my 2008 MCs cabrio and i want to put a good set of all season tires on.

right now there are 195/55/16's on and want to know if i can go bigger like 205/45/16's or whats the biggest i can get on them without looking to big.

im thinking about some conti extremes but not sure what tire yet. im looking for a great handling all season and snow tire. i have no plans of tracking it but want something nice but not overly expensive.

the car is stock and dont have any plans of lowering it anytime soon

205/50 would work well.

 

thx will the 205/50 be same size tire as far as height or are they smaller? im confused on this part. are 55 taller then 50's

i went to a tire shop today and was told that the 205/50/16 are smaller then the stock 195/55/16's on my car now. i am running some enkie edr9 wheel which are 16x7's

i dont want to go smaller since my speed as is shows me 4mph slower then speedo reads.

i was acually told that the recommeded tire for my 2008 mini cooper s cabrio is a 205/45/16

im going with Continental CONTI EXTREME CONTACT dws's
