R50/53 are Reflective stripes legal?
I have a plan for my bonnet stripes. After much MUCH perusal and contemplation, I have decided that I like the factory stripes the best, in terms of shape. When lying flat, theyhave a curve in them to account for the curvature of the hood. What I do NOT like is that AGGRIVATING gap at the ends of the stripe.
So I decided to purchase the stripes as a template, and go get some longer ones cut from them. Here's where the reflective bit comes in. I was thinking about a stripe that is white in daylight, and becomes reflective when hit with headlamps at night.
I just don't know if it is legal. I am presuppoing that it is, as they are only visible from the front, and if it's dark, then you are probably staring at my headlamps also... right?
Just thought it would give an interesting affect. Anyone know the answer?
