Interior/Exterior Finally getting tinted! Show me your tint!
Finally getting tinted! Show me your tint!
Well, I'm finally biting the bullet. It gets too hot in my car. I've booked in to get tinted all around. 5% on the sunroof, 20% on the rear 3, and 35% on the front 2.
I'd love to see your tints! Bonus points for Chili Red!
Here's my car pre-tint. Can't wait for Aug. 11

Looks great! What percentage front/rear? Any closer-up photos?
I believer same as yours, 20 in the back and 35 in the front. As low as you can legally go in Ontario.
I haven't taken many pictures of my car... or anything in the past few years, all pictures have been of my daughter (who fits fine in the back of a mini). The pictures I do have, like this one, are the ones my friends take with their phones and send to me.
Since that pic I've blacked out the belt line, and grill too.

Ahh, gotcha. My car is originally from Ontario, so if I get pulled over, I'll say I bought it like this!
no side window tinting is permitted in BC, but I see them everywhere.
Do you have any issue seeing out the rear/side windows when shoulder checking after dark? That's my only real concern.

I think its safe enough. I've driven down streets with no street lights and been ok. However if you need to read house numbers, or some street signs, I've had to roll the windows down.

The front side windows have 30%. The rear and rear sides have 15%.
Just looked at your gallery. Is the air blue tint noticable on the windshield? I'm checking from my blackberry, and didn't really see it. And does it just look cool or serve a purpose, like prevent glare, reflect heat, etc. And does it negatively affect visibility at night?
Looks good, thanks! I guess I can expect mine to be just a shade lighter. The installer I'm going to uses Suntek, I think. I know ceramic is supposed to be better than carbon, but this place comes highly recommended.
60% Rear panels - 10% Rear Sun Roof - 20% Front Sun Roof
I finally got my done last week and thanks to this post that help kick me in gear to get my car tint.
I decided to try something different and stay light and I had the Solar Guard Ultra installed. This tint helps cut about 50% of the IR which reduce heat and I wanted to keep the car light instead of going too dark like the minivan.
The Rear panel is 60% - The Rear Sun Roof is 10% - The Front Sun Roof is 20%. I may have the driver/passenger done at 75% after my trip. Since NJ law does not allow front and passenger door to be tinted I opted to wait.
All in all it looks good without noticing the tint but I think I might be too light.
What do you guys think?
