Just picked up a 2009 R56 non-s with 10k miles for $16,000. I come from owning an R53 S and this time wanted to go the naturally aspirated route, especially given the price I got on the vehicle.

It seems that a 1.6 inline 4 would be an excellent candidate to make more power, perhaps rev a bit higher. Has anyone tuned/modified the motor on here? Obviously the standard bolt ons will have very little difference. I'm thinking about cams, head, tune, headers.

Have you searched through the archives in the Non-S modifications sub-forum?
There's a lot of information pertaining to such, and gives good insight.
Also, search for the Spec-B racing circuit to check more on engine / powertrain modifications.
