i would love to put a brush guard on the front of my new countryman so i can get a rally car look like this:

it doesnt need to have lights, just have that look. anyone have an idea where i could get one?

Hope you're open to opinions because I'm about to give you one.

Unless you're going to give your CM a rally-car paint job and do it up right, then the brush guard on the front is going to look... ummmm... not good.

In an accident, they do more damage than the save.

No problem. Wached a 1-hour show recently on FuelTV, about Prodrive and MINIs work to get back into Rally racing. Very interesting show and I'm sure it will be re-broadcast some time.

Would be awesome to have a CM painted this way. Maybe I can talk my better half into getting her Bright Yellow CMSA4 painted or wrapped !

Zaftig just up-chucked a little in his boot. Told me not to search for them. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. If you think you can carry it off, go for it.

Depends on the guard, what it's made out of and where it's mounted. Also depends on the accident. Yes at 60+ mph nothing is going to protect you. But I had a stinger on my Jeep frame mounted and saved my butt many times!!! From flipping over a few times to accidents. Couple of those I was going FAST off a rock straight down with the full force of the Jeep slamming in to the ground almost nose down flat. Another time I t-boned someone at maybe 30mph, he was making an illegal U-Turn across a double yellow line in the rain (his fault) and caved in the side of his car and the stinger didn't move.

For reference it wasn't a HUGE beefy Jeep bumper. Only tubing really. "Stinger hoop made of CNC-bent 1-3/4" X .120 wall DOM structural tubing". Doesn't really need to be much, as long as it's correctly made and where it's attached to.

Scott,

Did you ever get a response? I have loved those lights since I saw them on TopGear!
