2 weeks ago, I brought my 05 mini to the auto shop to replace OEM belt, pulleys to (15% reduction, and 2% crank pulley) , mechanic told me that there was a big leak on coolant hoses. So he fixed it for me. Also change my supercharger oil. Well... May I know do I require a new tune up on the ECU since I had 15% & 2% upgraded? The car was running smooth after I picked up till 3 days ago. Supercharger started to have a big *** noise coming out, I was wondering is it because of not enough SC oil, or my SC is almost done.
The noise comes out once the car start up (it sounds like knock...knock...knock~~). I didn't drive the up to 4K rpm, but It feels like lack of boost. Does anyone experience this ? Is there anyway to fix it? I checked on waymotorworks already. DO I NEED A NEW SUPERCHARGER? It costs me $1500 . Since I have an issue like this on my mini, how much life do you guys think my SC will last? Please, advise!!!

The noise could be coming from the crank or even the tensioner. I would check to see if the crank pulley is put on straight. If your charger is going out you can get it rebuilt for around $500-$700 instead of buying a new one. I know way sells some rebuilt ported and polished superchargers that are cheaper than the new oem one and you'll get some more power out of them.
