18" tire size question

I have a quick question about tire sizes for a 2012 mcs with jcw aero kit and stock suspension.

I am looking at 18x7.5 wheels with a 50 offset(ac schnitzer mi2) and I was wondering what the recommended tire size would be. It looks like the recommended I have seen have been 215/35 r18 or 205/40 r18, or would you recommend a different tire size? I am just making sure either one would work without worrying about wheel rubbing. Also, which tire size would probably offer a little more comfort or less worrying about wheel damage?

Thanks in advance
-Brian

215/40-18 and 5mm spacers if needed, but I doubt it.
