Amplifier upgrade with a H/K System
Hello,
I have R58 Coupe with the H / K system. Since I am not satisfied, I would now install a DSP, amplifier and new 2 way front speakers. I want to install new speaker cables directly from the amplifier to the speakers.
I've heard that the H / K amplifier generates the PDC signal and other warning tones. Is this right?
Where can I take the best from the signal for the DSP? After the H / K or directly after the radio?
On newministuff I found a lot of connector.

Which is the right for me?

As far as i know the Head Unit generates the PDC tones. At least that is how it is on the Base, HiFi and H/K systems up to 2011 cars.
as the amps (hifi, HK) do the crossover work taking the signal after the amp is not a good idea as then you do not have a full range signal to provide to your new equipment.
Many of us use the X9931 connector in the drivers footwell but i can not confirm that it exists on the R58/59 variants. That would be the easiest place to take it from as it does not require removing major portions of the dash to get to the back of the head unit.

Is the kickwell connection this X9931 connector?
I have parking sensors, nav and bluetooth.
Does every mini radio have front and rear outputs?
I've heard of other that the parking sensors sound will now come from the rear speakers and the nav and bluetooth sound will now come from the front speakers.
So I need the "2nd gen kickwell connection with front & rear RCA" from newministuff.com

yes, but again I can not be 100% sure on the R58/59 as I have not worked on one of those.
that is fine all the audio, alerts etc are done in the head unit except the bluetooth and that is sent from the bluetooth module to the head unit for distribution.
as they all use the same head unit yes they all have front and rear outputs
In the past there has been a channel swap front to back done to correct for a 100 HZ cutoff on the Base systems. This is not required for the HiFi or HK systems. So without doing that swap the sounds should stay in front for nav and back for PDC.
That would, in my humble opinion, be your best choice.
