These?
The ADVAN A048 is D.O.T. approved with a Y-speed rating (186 m.p.h.) and a 6/32 tread-depth. This tire carries a UTQG rating of 60/AA/A and is available in three sizes - 225/40R18, 265/35R18, and 285/30R18.

Those are pretty hot. I'm probably going to get the KDW2's, but I would certainly like to find out about the Advans. They don't seem to have a clear line of drainage from the center to the outside shoulder, I wonder how they would do in the wet.

I've tried both the Advan AD07 and A048 on my Mini. The A048 is most popular R-compound tyre in the Asian markets. Grip is superb but also very noisy. Great for track, but it would be a waste and a headache for motorways. Remember, they don't last very long.

The AD07 is very popular among the Mini owners here in Hong Kong. According to the tyre shops, it's probably the most grippy non R-compound tyre in the market. I have no idea how long these would last, but I guess the tread wear rating would be below 200.
