New guy in GA, looking for nearest MINI dealer and clubs

Hi to all,

I'm new to Georgia, living in Augusta since January. MGM looks to be the closest club, can anyone confirm? Also, is ATL the nearest dealer?

I'l looking forward to a trip to Way Motor Works, now that I'm relatively close by.

Finally, I'm also looking for Autocross opportunities. Any help on that front would also be appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome To Georgia

Hey Someguy,

Welcome to Georgia. I'm a transplant also. Not sure what the closest club to you is but you're welcomed to join us anytime we're meeting. We meet the first Saturday of each month. In July we're meeting at Panera Bread in Macon on Tom Hill Sr. Drive from 5pm to 6pm. Then we'll go have some dinner somewhere. We have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/300040563378018/ you are welcome to join and you can follow our club on NAM.

There are two dealerships in Atlanta. MINI of South Atlanta and Global Imports. I wonder if Charleston, SC or Jacksonville, FL might be closer to you.

http://www.mgascca.org/ is the website for the Middle Georgia SCCA. Don't know if there is one closer to you.

Hope we get to meet you sometime. Woody

Also Coastal Minis in Savannah. They let me join even though I will not be permanently in the South until Fall. Not sure how far it is for you,but it is an option.
Good luck!

Thanks, folks! Seems everywhere I can go is 2 1/2 - 3 hours away, but once I get settled I'm going to be looking to travel a bit!

Welcome SomeGuyFromMaryland! I hope to see you at our meet in July at Panera bread. Sorry for the delay in responding, my kids and job keep me pretty busy.

Hey Aaron,

Sorry I haven't been watching this board in a while. I'm in Evans. I agree that WMW would be a nice road trip, but I'm pretty tied up on weekends for a while. I've seen a few MINI's around Augusta too. Not a lot of waves, though. Maybe it's a South thing.

Let me know if you find any nearby auto crosses, that's on my list of things to do too.

Thanks!
