thanks for the pointer.
i tried a search under "Mr. Clean" but somehow missed that. if anyone else has tried it, please report impressions. i found a couple of threads on BMW boards which reported mostly positive results, but, as everyone knows, a Mini is not a Beemer. don't they?

I have the Autodry system and it is great. The trick to it is to use a very good and CLEAN sponge or washmitt. Really cuts down on the time required to wash/dry the car. Very helpful for cleaning the windows and wheels.

Is it true that if you use Zaino on your car, this Mr. Clean Autodry won't work ??
I thought I read it somewhere...
If it is true, how so?

I Zaino and use the autodry, no problems. If there are problems, I'd like to know. Just zaino-ed again yesterday (2nd week in a row), wow, I love zaino

I have several coats of Zaino as well in both of my MINIs. No problems either...actually it helps the cleaning/drying process, big time.

The thing is featured in Today's Target ad.

Btw should zaino and then go drive this afternoon or drive first?

It's a cheap product which is cheaply made.

I tried it, didn't like it, returned it (see comments in other thread).

Some others have liked it...

The best thing is to try it for yourself -- it's readily available at Walmart, Target, etc. If you like it, great. If you don't like it, take it back.

My wife bought this for me. I tried it once and threw it away. My wife called P&G and they mailed a refund check within a week. Can't argue with the service anyway.

I bought one, as my MINI sleeps outside and is washed once a week.
It works EXACTLY as advertised, when the simple directions that come with it are followed. Very pleased!

As all of God's favorite minerals are in the hard water in my locale, I get about 7 or 8 uses per refill (soap and filter).
That works out to around $1.50 or less per wash (4.99 soap + 5.99 filter refill = 10.98 divided by 7 uses = @ $1.56) .

Does NOT strip wax, yes WAX.
No bucket, no chamois, no towels, no rush.

Virtually eliminates waterspots, if again, used according to the directions.
No drips, no leaks, no problems.

Go buy one.
