replaced passenger airbag light with switch

got tired of looking at the pointless airbag light in my car. decided a switch would be cooler.

well, theres that light that lights up when nobody is sitting in the passenger seat. it tells the driver that the airbag wont go, since theres nobody in the seat.... because i forgot to look directly to my right...

so, if you pull down that whole assembly, you can unplug the light and pop it out. from there, you can take it apart further and further until its just pieces.

at this point, you can use various switches, based on their size, to fit into the neat little hole left over. Just be sure to save the little led circuit board, and plug it back into the plug where you pulled it (doesnt matter orientation) or you will get a More annoying airbag light, in RED on your speedo

wrap the outer cover that says "passenger airbag" in black vinyl, stick in a switch, run some wires (ive yet to do) and you have a "Passenger Eject Switch"! lol... or whatever the heck you wanna turn on or off

OK. I think we were just curious what you rigged up to the switch. But you are right... it's kind-of wasted space. That is one thing I'm envious of with the 2nd-Gens... they get the race toggle switches up there, too.
