Acceptable tire sizes?

Currently I have ContiProContact 205/55 R17
I need to change 2 front tires. I understand that I cannot change 2 tires on All 4, so looks like I need to replace all 4 tires.

What size options I have?

BTW, I don’t want to spent a lot so I am contemplating to replace them with non run flats.

theres a few depending on if you want more cushion or performance.

I went with 225/50 r17, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

So i have to create 2 columns - cushion and performance, 225/50 R17 goes to which one?

That size tire could go in both columns, or one or the other. It all depends on the tire you choose. Any not run-flat is going to give you more "comfort", Unless you start getting into a 40 series tire, which will start to put you back into a stiffer sidewall.

Here's a calculator to help show the difference between the sizes. A taller tire will make for a nicer ride.

This can also help get your speedo closer to where it should be.
