My brother is thinking about buying this Mini and we want to get some details on this car.

Can someone look up the VIN and tell me what all is on this car? Can anyone look up the service history (blocking out the name obviously).

Give the VIN number to a local Mini dealer and they should run it for you. It's what I did and they told me all the info that I needed

 

Dealer is one way to find out another is to use

and put in your vin number and let it decode

But it looks like there may have been some issues with that car as there seems to be from the above around 15 additional information records.

When I checked mine there was only 1 addition info records. and Mine is a 2008

Not sure about the reliability of the vin-decoder...

I supposedly have a 2012 MCS, and the decoder says it's a 2011. It also says there are 15 other records for my car - bought/delivered new in May/August 2011.

In defence of the decoder, my car was ordered as a 2011, but I went through the turnover to 2012 before mine was built, so perhaps that has something to do with it... Dunno...

I have always used the carfax option.

I just bought the VIN decoder for our yet to be delivered JCW. It also had 15 additional records. The records aren't anything wrong, just basic car information like "Body type:Coupe", "Engine:N14", colour and upholstery.

Give him the last 7 digits of your Vin#. You'll get an email back with all options your car has.
You can have a dealership pull the warranty/work record on the car.
