Want to increase hp a little by installing a oem cold air intake on my Roaster S. My dealership only offers the complete JCW upgrade package which included the JCW muffler. I already have a Borla cat back system so don't need the JCW muffler.

Is there a cold air upgrade out there [OEM] and will it affect my warranty? I see on some websites where a JCW cold air intake is offered, at least it says the part is OEM.

Interesting fact that I was able to have a none OEM muffler system on my 2009 cooper s without rasing any eyebrows at the dealership during service times.

There are many sites that offer intake kits for your Mini. Do a search on here and you will find lots of options and opinions.

 

Yes your right. Tons of sites that offer cold air intake upgrades. i guess i'm trying to reach out to someone who has done this and has experience with purchasing, installing and not wanting to void the Mini warranty. That's why I'm talking OEM parts. Thanks.

 

Just installed a K&N Typhoon on my '05 MCS. Slick install, 49 state legal. Warranty shouldn't be an issue. See Magnuson-Moss warranty improvement act.
