Download ECU File with OBD II

I have 2011 Mini Cooper (Non-S) and I was looking at the possible ECU tunes. I came across the WMW Remote Tuning Module (http://www.waymotorworks.com/wmw-rem...ng-module.html). I have an OBD II cable already and was wondering if there was a way for me to download the Stock ECU file with it instead of purchasing the WMW Remote Tuning Module?

Seems like there would be a way, but I would imagine it would take a very good computer person to figure it out. Not like opening Windows Explorer and seeing a directory structure. Would be nice, but doubt it.

Mini coopers and some other BMW use in their DME a Tricore MCU.This MCU is secured and cannot be reader. Now there are some tools which can do this, but there are very very expensive and they can do it on BDM.

where you able to get around this? I bought FGTech 4 that was able to read and write the DME file. But the issue i want to solve, is how to copy this file into another DME. I understand from reading that chip (Tricore) is secured. But what are the "affordable" tools to "unlock" it?
