I have had the VIP air intake for 2,000 miles and my mileage has stayed steady in the 26 to 27 MPG range overall. The other half DESPISES the woosh sound so I try to avoid envoking it when he's in the car. Not easy with the hills in our area...

But city driving is another story, it drinks a lot more. I stomp on it to listen to the air intake working, and release the throttle abruptly just to listen to the Blow off go Fiwwwww!!
Agree with threar and others, wanting to hear the swooshing doesn't make for great mileage. Around town, back and forth to work with limited highway I have done no
better than 24...Did a quick trip to the beach on Mother's Day, mostly highway and mpg climbed to 27-28. Close to 18,000 on the dial & 7000 swooshing, never ever got close to 30.
