Added 22mm Alta Sway Bar

So I added the 22mm Sway Bar from Alta today.
It's set on the middle setting but I think I'm going to put it on the stiffer setting as I don't feel the difference I thought I would.

It's tighter going through the twisties... Less roll but I feel it needs a little more.

Look good though!

That does look good. Hopefully they are powedercoated now. My alta 22mm bar is flaking paint with rust underneath, but it is 6 years old now.

FWIW, I'd wait a week before going to the stiffest hole. Only takes one throttle lift to ruin your day.

I'm all for full stiff where holes are concerned!

Think I'll run it at the Deagon this weekend and see how it stands up, on the middle setting.

Cheers!

I find my car to be neutrally balanced with the bar at full stiff. Powered understeer and lift oversteer is fun.

I ran dozens of hot runs of the Dragon with it at full stiff. It just takes commitment and a gps road map co-driver (shows next few curves). The middle setting would probably be best for twisties. But there are none here, so full stiff works best with all of Nebraska's 90° turns.

I was tempted to get a rear sway bar but I quickly realized how worthless it would be in Chicago. I imagine much like Nebraska, all 90° turns but only with stop lights every 1/4 a block and red light cameras so you can't even turn on red anymore :-/

Looks good though zamfield

Felt the same way until I installed one. Then I discovered along with negotiating the
twisties the added benefit of dramatically improved accident avoidance and lane change capabilities.

Agreed... Had to avoid a "chunk" of road kill yesterday and zipped right around it with no trouble!

I will say that if you drive primarily on straight highways, you'll not feel the Benefit of a bigger rear sway bar.
