R60 Confused by fuel door:
Confused by fuel door:
So I'm confused by something on my fuel door that maybe you long time mini owners can help me with... this is my first Mini, and not likely my last.
I know the whole 91(or 93) vs 89 debate. Mini sure does create some confusion by contradicting themselves there.
But below where it says I can run 89 with no adverse effects it says "Use fuel additives regularly"
What kind of fuel additives is it referring to?

bmw/mini sell a private label version of chevron techron additive, so i assume that is the additive referred to
i use techron in all my vehicles (not the bmw/mini version, but the chevron brand that is cheaper, i buy lots of it when it goes on sale at auto parts stores or walmart ... often 2 for 1)
in my motorcycles, where it is eay to remove a spark plug and look into the cylinder, i can see deposits disappear from the top of the piston, there were no deposits at all left after 6 tanks of use in a row, now i use it in every 5th or 6th tank of fuel
imo, the techron really works
i am not an employee of bmw/mini or chevron and have no financial interest in anyone using this product, just a satisfied user
