our 07 convertible has been acting odd about this light for awhile now. Often when there is just the driver in the car the light will stay on. On a trip last weekend, it would come on and off when I was sitting in the passenger seat and I weigh 220. Once I moved a bit it would go off. When I drove the second half and my wife was there, the light came on and off and finally stayed on. It has stayed on since last Sunday during the trip

I read where someone had to have a sensor replaced for over $1000!. Is this a common problem with Mini's? Also saw someone mention a TB about a fix but nothing about what years it applied to. Anyone have any other info on this?

Waranty is long over though when I bought this used I did get an extended warranty. No idea if it would cover this or not
