Any heavy duty axles driveshafts

I was at the track last night when a broken an axle (right side). Anyone know of an aftermarket company that makes heavy duty axles. I tried to google it but only came up with some cheap ones.

The car ran a 13.5 on the last run.

Thanks guys!!!

Nope becuase as far as I know you are the 1st one to break an axle. What kind of power are you getting? Might have been a freak accident.

but these are for gen 1's you can call and ask though. Not sure if they changed the design for gen 2

I've seen heavy-duty axles on Way Motor Works' website, but that was for an R53. I'm not sure how different the R56 front axles are than the R53...

I talked to the driveshaft shop when trying to replace mine and they don't make any for the R56 but he was willing to make a set of 400hp ones for me but i'd have to send in my stock ones to him. I didn't take up the offer, but i'm sure if you contact him he will offer you the same deal I got.

I ended up buying a used junkyard one in hoping it'll be OK for 100 vs 520 for a new one... will know in a few weeks.

I'm a little surprised you broke the axle. The R53's didn't need them till the 400whp range. Perhaps there is another issue causing it? If not though, drive shaft shop is the way to go, they make a good axle.

I'm surprised as well, but if he's lowered, the extra wear may have played on it in combination with launches. Also, the shock of turbo spool vs linear power on supercharger makes a difference imo

I am lowered. I sure launching with 19in wheels in the beginning didn't help either. I'm just trying to prove a point to some guys here in FL. I won't be taking it to the drag strip too much longer.
I going to install a wet kit next week (100 shot). That's one of the reasons why I wanted some heavy duty axles.

Nice et,what was your mph?

My Jcw went 12.90s at 111 mph.

Sorry to hear about your axle snapping.call advanced driveline in orlando for some cv's.

Never could get nitrous to work on my car, throttlebody kept slamming shut.

Your jcw ran 12.9? Can you post a time slip please? I'm assuming gen 2... List your mods, I think this is the first I've heard a r56 running 12s

You speak of nos... We're u running it when achieving 12.9? I assume not cuz you said you never got it to work...

Tossed the slips before selling the car.Never could get nitrous to work, maybe mounting nozzels after tb would work but never tried.

Yes R56,12.93 run was on motor no nitrous. If the car could launch harder without fear of snapping a cv I am sure it would have dipped into the 12.70s or quicker.

Have run many a mid to low 12 car from a 20 mph roll and kept pace.

Mods in sig.

Massive wheelspin while on concrete

I bet the asinwarner is the next thing to break.

haven't you used that reasoning enough at the end of every thread where people ask you for something, eg pics?

I once ran 11's with a mini and posted slips, but that forum doesn't exist anymore

Dude grow up.People like you are the reason why nam suxs.I have helped many people with their mini builds and have advised the op of this thread with his project.

If the greatest achivement in my life was running a 12.93@111 in a mini I might have kept the time slip.

Where did you find a dragstrip that was on a downhill 20% grade? All of the ones in Florida are level.

I'm plenty grown up and have helped many on this forum every day. I've seen your posts. Just saying anytime there is a request for something
from you, theres a "xxx since i sold it and bought a 1 series M daily and a laguna seca mustang" reply. I know I'm not the first to have beef with your posts so you can easily shut us up by posting facts. Noone says we don't believe you, but theres too many people on here stating accomplishments without posting the facts to back it up. Those are the types of posts that don't help anyone. "Starting my GT28RS build now, making 320whp and more tuning to come" and then it dies off. Same thing. Many people run your same mods and run high to mid 13's. Providing facts would help further the modding world of MINIs, especially the limited R56.

And just to add, at least keep the same trap speeds with your statements.

No need to jump on me here, many of us have the same views and are tired of statements without facts being posted.

Jus' say'n. Feel free to respond but I'm not going to keep going with this pointless war, I've seen it plenty on other threads you've posted in. Lets keep this on topic with the OPs question about high HP axles.

sorry it was 111 mph.Posting from a iphone is a bit tuff.

as far as people having the same mods, don't know anyone that has run a offset grind crank in a prince motor other than my build.

With time you will see other r56s in the 12s.tecaterob would already be in the 12s if his wheel/tire combo and suspension had been set up right for the strip.

I would run a 16x8 with a sticky 235/65/16 up front with space savers in the rear, stiff springs all the way around to cut the weight transfer.

I'm sure I'll be in the 12's with drag rads I just got. The wheel spin is killing my time. I'm going to post 1 with & without NOS when I'm done. Hopefully by this weekend.
