Well I just ordered my 2012 Mini Cooper Hardtop last week and I was just wondering how long it would take for me to get it. The dealer told me it usually takes from 6 to 8 weeks from the time I ordered it but I was just wondering if any of you guys received it earlier than 6 to 8 weeks or maybe later? Any experiences? Sorry for asking this dumb question but I'm just really curious and excited to get it because it's my first car that my parents bought me. Thanks!

 

Take a look at the " How to track your MINI thread", and related posts. 6-8 weeks is pretty standard, some have managed 30-ish days, others longer.

Exciting times, there are quite a few ways to stay informed on where your MINI is in the process!

 

Try and get your MINI's Production Number from your parents. Once you do you can register at the MINI Owners Lounge, and it's all gravy from there (just follow the instructions on that thread ljmattox mentions). But you need that Production Number!

Otherwise generally the closer you are to the ports and VDCs that accept MINI shipments from Southampton and Austria (?) the better chance you have of getting your MINI sooner.

Thanks and I am in no way near a port of some kind cuz Im located in San Antonio, Texas soo I guess I'll be waiting 6 to 8 weeks.
