Headlight Trim Removal

This might be a dumb question as I'm a new owner but, can someone tell me how to remove the headlight trim clips without breaking them?

On the R53 2005 there is 2 sided tape on the back side of the chrome rim. Just because you release the tab you still have to pray the chrome rim from the clear lens. Be careful I broke 2 of them will glue back on.
