It's so subjective that I would not even offer my opinion, but I will say if at all possible see each color on an actual, clean car on a sunny day. We just ordered a Countryman, and our thinking on color changed immediately when we saw the colors in the sun on an actual car. Also did you actually drive a non S car? I thought it was very underpowered, even with the manual transmission (the automatic is even slower). There's a substantial difference between the turbo and non turbo engine. I strongly suggest you drive them back to back before ordering, especially if you are getting the automatic transmission. Nothing worse than buying a car, and quickly realizing you made a mistake in how you equipped it.

I agree with shark715, you MUST see the colors in person. Some look better in person than in pictures, and some look worse, in my opinion. And you absolutely can not go by the color representations on the miniusa website. Personally, while I think some of the colors on the Countryman look classy and nice, they are not 'MINI' enough for me, if you know what I mean. I know they are shooting for a different audience than the smaller MINI. But I was a Chili Red MINI owner until we got pregnant with our third kid, and I had to get a bigger vehicle. If the countryman was available in 2007, I would have traded up for it, instead of what I got. Now that I am getting a Countryman, the True Blue seemed like the most fun, 'MINI' color to me, so that's what I went for. I thought about the Pure Red, but it's just a little 'off' to me, and always looks orange-y in pictures to me. I'm not a fan of the yellow color they offer for the Countryman either. But, to each his own!

I can't understand asking for opinions on what color to get, it is entirely a personal, subjective decision. Why should *my* favorite color influence what color *your* car is?

I have to agree with the advice above, make sure you see the color combos you are considering in person, in daylight. Also, try to see them with your preferred roof color, as I think that makes a big difference too.

i know many would suggest the 's' for its power. but i only drive 60-70...so i guess the one without the s is enough for me?
regarding color, the light white is with black roof, yellow with black roof and the light coffee with white roof. these 3 cars r ready stock...so means no waiting period.
what is the most popular color among these 3? i only seen the light coffee...another 2 cars is not in my state. it is 5 hours drive away and i am not convenient to go right now as i am nearing my due date.
thanks for all the help here. the mini countryman is such a special car.

So, how does that work? Did the Chili Red make you more fertile? Was it a 50/50 split between you two with the carrying? And where do the goats come in? If me and my SO got prego, I'd freak with kid #1. (Then I'd get an agent.) Something is off here - and it aint't the Pure Red.

My color preference changed 100% after seeing them in person.

White - I like the black roof/mirrors with the white car body - but for me white just seemed too hard to keep clean, plus since it's the stock color I thought you'd probably see more white then other colors and wanted something more unique. The black/white looks is very mini though imo.

Coffee - I like this color with white roof and mirrors. Not the sexiest color imo but again cute for that contrasting mini look.

Yellow - very unique and cute - especially with white roof/mirrors and tires. Seems more of a chick color combo to me (not a bad thing) just a bit more feminine. Very happy cute mini combo.

That being said - the color looked totally different to me irl. I found I liked ones in person (the cosmic blue and the crystal silver) that I didn't favor when I did google image and searched online.

GL and let us know what you choose!

The Chili Red DEFINITELY made me more fertile! We view our marriage as a partnership, so saying 'we' were pregnant goes along with that.

i think this is one of the question that struggle with many mini buyer. I have this problem back in 2002 when ordering and mini cooper S before any was arrived at the show room. Same problem arise again when me and my girl friend buying a countryman s. at the end of the day I really do think the mini look great in many color. Is really down to what it suit you best. Good luck on color picking. The next thing will be option choices.

We have an '03 non metallic black MCS, so we were thinking we would go with a color other than black. We generally prefer dark color cars, and after our first dealer visit we thought we had decided on green. The second time we went to the dealer it was a bright sunny day and they had a Cosmic Blue in stock, and we decided we liked that better than the green. A few minutes later we saw a customer taking delivery on an Absolute Black CM with the exterior chrome option and the wheels we want, and we immediately realized THAT was what we preferred, and ended up ordering. It's a pain keeping a black car clean, but when it's clean it makes the chrome trim really "pop". I think the The Absolute Black is a far prettier color than the black on our '03.

You cannot pick a color without seeing it in person!
We went with Light Coffee after seeing it, while never even considering
it while viewing pictures or configuring it online. It is a color that defys
capturing on film and looks different in every light.

Light Coffee is closer to dirt color, maybe you wouldn't have to wash it as much!

But like others have already said, look at an actual car with the color you are considering. I love British Racing Green and almost got one, but parked right next to a BRG MINI at the dealer was a Chili Red one, it just called out to my wife and I, we drove it home.

Hey! I thought that was supposed to be a big secret.

We got the LC with black top, decided to change top to white and add stripes later. You have a fun task...

Question Coffee + black roof + black/anthracite wheels?

I'm very fond of the coffee color. Actually to me it looks good and, no less important, quite unique on the street. But I also want black or anthracite wheels since I always had only light rims on other cars. But this also means black roof since white roof and dark wheels will be a total mismatch IMO.

Trouble that I never saw coffee car with black roof/wheels and none of dealers around have them on the lot. So how do y'all think this will look - coffee with black roof and dark wheels? What's your opinion on black vs anthracite wheels with this combo?

Color choices are very personal. I like Coffee body with white top and silver or white wheels. I dislike all-black wheels on anything.

I feel like if you go with a color like the coffee or yellow, because they're so unusual, you should LOVE that color, it shouldn't even be a question. If it were me and I went with an unusual color like that and wasn't sure about it, chances are I would be questioning it for as long as I owned the car. But that's just me.

The True Blue owner said it--part of the appeal of the MINIs is the quirky color. I am thrilled with my Surf Blue baby--and again, it was a color that was not easy to "see" online. From what you have to choose from--and they are all nice, I personally would choose the yellow with black roof.
And that is simply, an opinion. Good Luck--and I don't usually drive fast but I love my "S". But I also kinda like the grill on the "not-S".
Let us know what you pick.
