Seeking advice on personalized plates

As I anxiously await the arrival of my Countryman I decided to check out the DMV personalized plates section, to see what's available. Of the options that I tried this one is available: MINISGT (for abbreviation of Sargent)

Thoughts, or suggestions?

Never had personalized plates before, but I want to add some personal touches to my MINI experience...

Thanks

I've moved personalized plates from vehicle to vehicle, and it's convenient to have consistent labeling when asked for your plate. It's a great way to put your personal touch on a car in a visible way, and it can be a lot of fun. Go for it!

We have University donation plates here in Michigan. I couldnt believe that using the Michigan State Univ. block S, We recently got Suprcpr (super cooper). And Sprtn93. (year I graduated from '93. ) I did have a buddy of mine get his vanity plate ripped off. You can run the risk of exposing yourself to vandals and a-holes. Otherwise, go for it.

Had vanity plates for my wife's PT Cruiser for years, she got me some for my MINI as a Xmas gift a few years back, just when NYS decided to up the cost....now they've become a "money pit". She's got a Countryman now and decided to ditch the vanities because of the cost..I'll probably keep mine for a while because the new NYS Plates are "butt" ugly.

Go for it! It's part of you-ifying your car.

The plate on the CM was transferred from the Jeep, and it's pretty obvious what it's about.

The plates on the 650 would not seem to be personalized unless you're a BMW expert / freak / fan.

I was just having this conversation with my bf, KOOPA (extra points for mario reference!) and SCOOPA are both available, and he thinks they're both lame.

We'd had our li'l guy for about 3 months and one day we heard a comment from a friend: "He's a frisky little fella". Therefore...
But Frisky was taken so we went with Friskie. I thought about putting out a hit on that other car where ever it was but got distracted motoring.
You-ify is the operative word.

PS: I asked the powers that be for a screen name change at the time but was totally ignored.

My wife, Lora's CM is still about 5 weeks away, but I ordered her license plates...

Apparently there is some movie named after her as well...

Thanks everyone for the great feedback! As I see your comments pop in, I looked up COOPA S (thanks Julzie) and it's available as well, but it is not as personal as "Sargent" Decisions...

just don't try to **** anyone off. your plates will be easily recognizable and can lead to vandalism. i had BLUDOG on my indi blue 03 MCS, and someone for some reason keyed the boot. got rid of the plates after that incident.

Waiting on mine from CA DMV: R60S.

First set came in and wasn't centered so sent them back. should be here by the end of the month.
Was a toss up between PCKTSUV and the R60S. Also in the Personalized Plates thread listed many combinations that were available when I ordered my plates.
Love the WEE SUV!
Enjoy.

Good call my wife has had personalized plates for a few years, and I am very surprised and glad that her car has not been vandalized because of her on road antics...

We've been all over my plate choice. I am famous, kind of. Only thing I'll add here is to make sure it feels right. Nothing worse than driving a car with a plate that for the next several years you have to look at and wonder what you were thinking when you did that. Not as permanent as a tattoo, but just as telling.

I'm currently deciding between the following for my incoming Countryman S:
SCARGO
MINION
MINIFY
KOOPA
JULES
HOLMES (which is what I think I'm naming the car, trading in Watson :P)

Could use some opinions

How do people feel about: YLD2R60

It didn't get much love from the people in my office, but I like that at a quick glance it might look like a standard plate. I'm in CA, so no one go stealing my idea if I decide to go with it!
