Faulty power windows and sunroof "woodpecker"
I assume some of you owners have had both these issues - has the dealer been able to resolve these and how long did your service take?
Don't ask me why - but I still love this car.

Issues
Since new the front windows often freeze about one inch from full closure - this was an annoyance but I live with it. Now my front driver window only moves two inches at a time in any direction.
The sunroof Woodpecker is a constant - I have removed the drain flap and stuffed the drain, but it is still there, louder than ever.
Driving three hours for service next week - the service advisor seemed like he had never heard of any of this before (do these folks ever look at these boards). I think not.

There is another thread on resetting the windows. That's step one - if it does not work there is some kind of a bulletin that calls for a reprogram of the software. When that does not work, then you need to have your motor systems replaced. I went through all three. Reprogram takes a few hours, replacement you should plan on a day. Major PIA. Good luck.
And I know nothing about wood peckers in the roof. Sorry.

I also get the woodpecker sound, but wasn't sure if it was the sunroof or not. At Firdst I thought it was the rear seatbelt chattering against the side panel or the rear deck fluttering. Have not had a chance to be in the back while it happens because I am Driving and can't get my daughter to find it. so will have to get in the back and let someone else drive to check it out.
The woodpecker thing may be the early 11 models, with the drain flap. There was a "sticky" posted here somewhere. (Ill see if I can find it)

My dealer told me the sunroof rattle was a known issue, and they fixed it when the car was in for a failed brake fluid sensor.

My philosophy is that while the car is under a full warranty, I'm not going to fool around with drain plugs. If it creaks or rattles, that's the dealer's problem. Their response has been perfect. They offer to take the car for as long as it takes to reproduce the issue, and they fix it before giving it back. And I get a loaner for however long that is.
If I were out of warranty or if I lived farther from my dealer, it'd be a very different situation. But I'm getting my money's worth out of buying a brand new car. Everything is their problem, not mine until the warranty runs out, and they seem very happy to do things that way.
