Anyone Ever Try Nitto Neo Gen Tires ?

hey guys, just wondering if anyones run Nitto Neo Gen tires, found CL ad (4) 205/45/17 Nitto under $300 for all 4 new !!!

https://post.craigslist.org/manage/2926292105

Seems cheap, just wanting to get your guy's opinions (threadwear, comfort, road noise)

Thanks!

The tire wear number they assigned to that tire (UTQG = 280) seems very low for a ultra high performance all season tire. Other tires in the same category of that size show UTQGs between 420 and 540 at Tire Rack.

Google "Nitto neo gen tire reviews" and read for a while. Most reviews I read were very good.

Welcome to NAM.

I think I got about 3 years out of my Nitto Gen ZR's of that's what these are and that was some pretty hard driving, I would not classify them as all season though...

I got about 2 years and 25,000 miles out of my first set. I really like them. They are great in wet and dry weather. Pretty good in the snow too.

I have a set on my 17s, they are a very well rounded M&S rated tire. The do well on the track for lapping and reasonable for a club autoX.

I run 215/45/17, I convinced some folks in the club to run them and they love them too.

They did get a little noise after 18K but it is OK. I am putting on a set of 215/45/17 Nitto Motivos and moving the Neo Gens over to my webspokes.

I plan on running the Neo Gens for lapping and some mountain driving.

I wanted to try the Motivos, but would have got the Neo Gen again, since I like the tread pattern and performance of the tire.

Good in wet or dry, very light snow.

My best friend had 2 sets on his GTI and swore by them. I through on BFG G-Force Sports on my GTI (when I owned it) and it always seemed like those NITTOS were nicer. They definitely laster longer too.

Work great on a light car and the size you want will be great!

Highly recommend!
