We are now a 2 Mini family

Picked up the CM All4S and got home late last night. Spent 9 hours driving home, through city, highway, and a torrential downpour. Couldn't wait to get in and drive it to the gym this morning.

Likes: Just about everything.

Dislikes: Chrome is peeling on door handle and near rear of vehicle after going through the car wash twice. (once by dealer, and once by me this morning trying to get rid of the bug splatter)
Tires- Pirelli summer performance runflats. not a ton of tread left. Recommendations? Will be driving in snow and some off road. I could tell in the heavy rain yesterday that the tires suck, but the AWD and DSC was great. Think I want to go to an all season performance tire non-runflats and put tire slime and a compressor in the trunk. Or under driver seat where the Mini Mobility goes.

It was a smoker's car, after a day of driving, dealer's pretty cover scent has worn off.

Brake pads got replaced at the dealer before living Twin Cities.

Love the handling, the acceleration and the HID Xenon lights The Harmon Kardon rocks, and it only cost me $80 in 93 Octane to get 600 miles down the road.

We are a two Mini family as well . My wife has the Countryman S and I have the Mini S hatchback. I think it maybe time to take a similar photo op of both cars in the garage and out. Thanks for the idea!

Congrats! welcome to the addiction. After one month, I still love getting in either car and driving. I too need to schedule a little higher quality photo shoot. Is it weird to do a family portrait with both your cars as kids?

We are about to be a 2 Mini family - the All4 is at the VDC in Brunswick, GA as I tie this.

Cigarette smoke
I used Vamoose (google it) on a ten year old cloth interior of a Ford Taurus and for a car that it appeared someone had smoked a pack a day for five years in with the windows rolled up, it was a pretty good result. There are various home remedies out there which are available via google search. Best of luck YMMV.

Posted this elsewhere but couldn't resist adding it here too... It only took about 3 weeks from picking up my Countryman S for my girlfriend to go get her own Hardtop S.

We've been a 2 MINI family for a few years now. Here are our original 2:

My wife got a Clubman about 2 years ago. Here it is with my old R53:

I don't have any pictures of the Clubman with my Countryman, but one of these days.

They're both great. The obvious power difference is lessened by the fact that the Justa feels lighter and more nimble, maybe related to the 17" wheels.Still a great drive and as much fun!
