countryman s R60 - NM ENGINEERING / FORGE MOTORSPORT

having issues with uploading pics via my new mac. sorry never used mac before so do forgive me. link of pics installed.

http://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set...2801767&type=1

well, what is installed into my car is NM carbon air filter kit, NM air charge/discharge pipe, NM heat sheild, Forge intercooler, Forge BOV.

the nicest thing about this mod is the air charge/discharge pipes gives the countryman a lighter throttle feel. and the readings i have from my pivot boost gauge is.
stock ic 0.9bar and spike @1.0bar. sport mode 1.0bar and spike @1.1bar
forge ic 0.85bar and spike @0.9bar. sport mode 0.85bar and spike @0.9bar.

sorry you will have to do the conversions to PSI as over here we use metric system.

now waiting for tuning which will happen next week.

Nice! Grats on the new go-fast mods.

Which was harder to install for you. The Charge or discharge pipe?

as the bumper was down the discharge didnt take too much effort. it the bumper was on then maybe it could have taken more time.

but all in it took about 6hours of install time.

Looks great! I'm going to put on a NM intake on my car... with the tune and exhaust you can tell it's struggling for air!

Guys since we are on the topic, my car currently has a custom tune, and a K&N air filter, it is CMS 2012 automatic with 7K.

I am planning to add the Akra DP and the larger intercooler. Going through the two vendors above, I saw that I can get the hot pipe from NM, the cooler pipe, and most of the time I see that people also get the Forge BOV. My question is, is that valve really necessary? What it will do for our engines? Is it prevention? Thanks for your help as I am a noob with this N18 engine.

Can you elaborate a bit on the recirculate valve. I have been reading about the Forge BOV and I do not know if it will make any surging on the turbo (mine is automatic) go away. Anyone has experienced this?

Thanks again for responding my questions, hope to collaborate more once I learn more.
