Tire Pressure Monitor

I've finally reached the conclusion that we will have no winter this year so I took advantage of today's 64 degree Central Indiana weather to take my winter tires off and reinstall the original-issue Eagle runflats.
After installing all four wheels/tires, I tried to access the tpms initialization sequence through the computer stalk, but it didn't show up. I then tried to initialize the sensors through the option on the center screen, but when I selected "initialize" it just hung there. When I ended the process I received a message that the tpms system would be non-functional for up to 12 minutes.
I later drove the car for about 40 minutes, and then tried to access the initialization sequence from the stalk, but again it didn't appear.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
P.S. I'm not getting a tire warning icon at startup.

Interesting. I don't have an answer but I'll probably be doing the same this upcoming weekend. Did your winter tires & wheels have TPMS sensors and that's why you're trying the initialize sequence?

I ask because mine don't. I was hoping to put the original wheels back on and everything just resets back to normal after driving it for a while.

Yeah, the winter tires came from Tirerack mounted and with sensors. I set them up fine, then expected to initialize the factory wheels/tires when I reinstalled them. Still no error message or initialization option from the stalk.
