nm intake installed

installed my 2nd mod today , the nm instake, the sound is amazing! the fit and finish is awesome, also the instructions they provide make it easy for anyone to install. at first it seemed like ive lost top end power but i kept driving it, i think its better now. im sure i need a tune to get the most out off it and that is still on its way after i install the down pipe. anyone else thought they might have lost top end power after this isntall?

Never had a problem with my NM CAI after install. Be careful when cleaning and reoiling the filter. Don't want to overdue the oil, it can
impact your MAF.
I assume the one question on 'heat soak' is referring to the hot engine air
entering the CAI filter and causing the engine to feel sluggish. I haven't had that issue either.
I am installing a step intercooler to help in heat. It should help in the hot
summer months to come.

thanks for the explanation, my intake temps are about 5 to 10 degrees hotter than the exterior air, i have the torque app that i monitor all the temps with, the car is acting much better now.

^^^ I actually just removed the honeycomb grill in the vent which allows greater air flow to enter. Works for me.
