Looks like they are coming to Phoenix on the 13th. Me and Dee will be heading down to Phoneix Friday night and catching the group going to Los Angeles. Probably leave around 6ish. Anyone interested in Caravaning ?

I'm not sure what the route is going to be from New Mexico to Phoenix, but we're probably going to join the route in Flagstaff if they come across on I 40, then down I 17. We'll go on to L.A. for the final weekend.

 

I'm going to drive to Albuquerque, NM on either the 11th or the 12th to join the tour. i'll then continue on to Phoenix and LA. From looking at a close up of the google map route it looks like they will turn south at Holbrook and not Flagstaff. I could be wrong.

I will be heading down to Phoenix sometime on the 13th. I plan to meet up with the group at their host hotel, pick up my registrations, etc... and partake in whatever the plan is that evening. Then doing the Phoenix > LA drive the next day. I was hoping to get a group together to make a run down to Phoenix on the 13th, but I know some people are still finalizing their schedule. But I will be there wither way.

Agro is heading from Las Vegas to Phoenix to meet up with the national MTTS run.He is going a less direct, much more fun route than taking the interstate all the way.
I'll be turning off I93 to drive the Twelve Miles of Terror, then into Prescott for lunch. Then I drive up ...the gorgeous (and twisty) 189A to Jerome and down towards I17 and Scottsdale.
Depending on time and tiredness, I'm hoping to continue to Payson to meet up with the MTTS convoy coming in from Albuquerque then to Scottsdale with the bigger group.
I'm inviting all my MINI friends who want to join me on this drive. It'll be much fun!

The group is leaving from Fiesta Henderson on the 13th at 8:30am sharp. Two of us are going to follow the group about half way and break off and head straight to Phoenix if you like to do that route as well. Below is the hotel information where a lot of the club is staying

my apologies for speaking out of turn, I know I'm new and not a member yet but why does this club not have its own forum anymore? This little subsection is nice and all, but its so informal.

 

I agree, we used to have our own forum but when the club changed to the new Webpage it was removed.. Oh well I guess there is always facebook.

 

Heading to Phoenix on Friday for MTTS - I get off work sometime after 1pm - so I'll miss Agro's fun ride in the morning. Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn (near the host hotel), and heading out with the group to LA in the morning.
